This is an authentic SA dagger brought back from the battlefield by my father who is a WWII vet. From what I have gathered thus far, Kober & Co. were not major manufacturers of SA daggers, so there is some rarity to it. Thanks to all responders.

A rather common maker, but desirable one.

Hi, Peter58. Welcome to the Forum !
Not a super rare SA dagger.
There were apparently many small 'cottage industry'
type companies which made daggers and parts.
'Th' is for Gau Thuringen...........
It does look as though the grip has been laquered,
and the scabbard repainted/refinished.
Regards,
Steve.
It looks like the lower guard has been turned round.
very nice and clean original dagger,,,good catch,,
militarymania is the group mark not on the wrong side.

Very nice, I love these SA daggers and the SS daggers of the similar design.
The crossguard has indeed been reversed at some point.
Cheers, Ade.
could you put the dagger back in the scabbard the other way as it is in the wrong way around sorry for being a dipstick cheers Ronnie
yes the gruppe marking should be on the reverse,,someone has turned it around at some point,,,i find a lot of SA daggers that has had that done...
