    Hello fellas

Thats why I will need your help to tell me if its genuine, because I'm little concern about the eagle.I mean I never seen one like this before, please correct me if Im wrong. I would appreciate any info regarding the dagger, makers name, production year,etc..

    Best regards!

Hello Ves. Run away screaming. A ground up fake I'm afraid buddy. Kindest regards.

    Brian.

The motto font is incorrect. The supposed makers marks are fantasy/stamped. The scabbard should not be wrapped. The cross guards and fittings look brass. Not sure if the letter D is an actual gruppe mark? The handle eagle/adler and tang nut are very bad attempts. At least they were trying to go for a Damascus blade but that too is bad to the core.

No worries Ves. Glad to help. In it's own way it is rather interesting. It's not a run of the mill fake imo, but rather someone's attempt to recreate an SA dagger. I m not sure what they were looking at for reference but an unusual item to be sure. Perhaps others will have their own opinions on it s origins? Best regards.

Brian I’m glad you opened my eyes I knew it there is something fishy about it. I had doubts about the eagle and the blade writing in the first place, they seemed odd to me,even I’m not competent on this kind of items. The guy was asking €200 for it and I hate when a person with this kind of hobby pretending a fake item is original. Anyway it’s a interesting reproduction indeed. Thanks again Brian, you saved me money

    Best regards!

I just commented in the thread (below) about a "one look" original. No hard feelings but this is a 1,000 yard fake. Except in silhouette (and that is debatable) it does not even closely resemble an original.
