To bad the tip of the blade is broken off otherwise it looks good. You didn't say what you paid but I guess it was a good price.

A shame...it Used to be a nice Helbig. Even had a nice blonde grip. Sadly, about all it's good for now is parts. The Hanger is nice..

This is a great early SA dagger with a rarely seen producer logo..along with the early 1st type Hanger device. The hard paart is the tip was broken off....yet IMO ..I would still have it in my collection as a filler until a whole blade example makes itself available. The grip has a crack in it..and I hope you paid a good price for it. I like it..because of the producer. JMO Regards Larry

Hi Dudley, thanks for sharing such a rare example.
    Nice blonde grip there.
Whitty can fix that blade for you.

Whitty-as in Wittman's militaria? Anyone had one done or know how much to repair the tip? I would be interested in repairing it and keeping it. In this condition, I think a repair would only enhance the value, at least some. I'm into it cheap. Here's the thread with the 3 items I scored. Rummage sale scores. Daggers and dress bayonet
I have $350.00 US in the lot.
