Default SA Dienstdolch: She ain't pretty but is she matching?

I'm interested in purchasing this dagger (cheap, I'll have you know). Now, I'm aware that in terms of salty this dagger is the Atlantic Ocean - but apart from all that, how does it look in terms of matching parts? Is it all the same piece? Any opinions gratefully received!

    Kind regards,

    Robbie

    Hi Rob,

IMO it's as made and not a parts dagger. The grip to metal fit looks good and it doesn't appear that the pommel nut has been buggered with. As you say it's very salty, but if it's really cheap, then why not? It's a start for a young collector like yourself, and you can upgrade later on.

    Regards, Ned.

I do follow Ned, on thise one!
    I wouldn't even mind having it! ;-)
Even the leather tab seems well marked, if the price is all right, I wouldn't hesitate.
    Good luck!

+1, no gaps or mismatched metal finish to make me think it's a parts dagger. I'd jump on it if the price was right

Great! Thanks guys, I really appreciate your support. Does $250 sound about right for this dagger?

    Thanks,
    Robbie

If you buy that dagger I would advise you to never clean it or you will take off the last bits of plating remaining on the crossguards. The real problem with RZM SA's is that this is as good as it will ever look. They eat themselves alive as the plating separates from the zinc potmetal underneath. I would not pay more than $150.00 but that's only my opinion.

I think that works out about 157.00 U.K, to me it worth it all day long especially for your first SA , to me it looks like an even "salty" patina and the hanger alone is worth a few quid, and still worth money in "parts", it would be nice for you to save more money and buy a better example but it's what you can afford and what you like that matter's
    hope this help's,
    cheers Ronnie

If you like it buy it, and don't clean it. It's a nice salty dagger. I would buy it.
