Hello.
Imo it looks like the eagle maybe has been replaced...
Normally we would see an nikkel eagle in a early maker marked sa dagger.. and this one looks like it is aluminium.. so maybe replaced at some point..
Just my opinion..
But wait for other opinions...
Best regards,
Lt. Col
Ullergaard
The makers mark looks like it is out to far from the handle.
Nothing wrong with that logo or the distance from the lower guard..Eickhorn used both serrated and smooth tail large double oval logos on their Rohm daggers. This dagger is one of the earliest until later in production the logo was made smaller and moved closer to the lower guard.
Rohm didnt want to share the limelight with a large logo next to his name. Just my opinion
also as Colonel Ullergard has pointed out the grip eagle has been replaced and should be an early nickel type.
Rare to see a QC # 3 on the lower guard..very nice...but that replaced eagle shoots it for me.
The gruppe mark "Ns" is correct for a Rohm produced dagger.
Nice early dagger but with a replaced grip eagle.

Thanks Larry. Your info has put my mind at rest! Purchased this dagger a while ago at a local auction house at a Militaria auction they had organised. At the weekend I was told that there were a number of fake items in the auction and my fear was that this was one!!!!!
