You should print that out and take it with you next time you visit the bathroom.
Like some more recent fakes - this was one of a series of daggers made with a specific ‘high roller’ customer in mind. Said daggers modified circa 1950’s by what has been reported as a jeweler in New York state. With Snyder seeming to have ended up with the lion’s share at some point when the original owner passed away.
Tissue paper COA’s hmmm ............ Now that is an idea which I think is long overdue. FP

Re: SA honor Dagger??
I think most of us "older" members know of good ole charlie synder! He along with Fantasy pieces himself Roger Steele were pushing this garbage! Also throw in ATWOOD and his parts daggers and his just put together pieces were the leaders in the 70's-80's and were the earlier thieves in the hobby.Their were others but thats another story!!Therefore please all you newer collectors dont get sucked in on any rare pieces before you get on this forum and find out who this dealer/collector is and what they are selling.Their are not many strangers that are your friends and remember that before you part with your dollars, pounds, euros and get screwed!Just a caution from an old timer!

Re: SA honor Dagger??
This dagger was fabricated from real parts by a jeweler and master engraver in the late 1950's. It, along with several other similar pieces, were made for a targeted early collector Dutch Heilmann. His fake fantasy daggers were illustrated in the first English language reference book on daggers written by Raidl and Leslie in the late 1950's. There was another similar SA, a SS dagger with runic inscription, an engraved Red Cross dagger with the name of the German Red Cross head, Dr. Conti, on the blade. He even engraved a Japanese Navy stainless steel samurai sword blade with a runic inscription! As I never visit Snyder's site, I did not notice it. After 50+ years, the junk is still in circulation.
