It is in fact, the best early SA that I have ever owned, or seen, in 35 years of collecting.

this is not always a criteria for judging originality. Remember, these items have been collected for 70 years and examples held and cared for by collectors can be found in like new condition. Several years ago, I ran across a Haenel SA in pristeen condition with three piece hanger that looked as though it had just come out of the factory. It had been vet purchased in the early 1950's and in one collection since.

Agreed with Bob ..History seems to be sandbagged. ..by being stereotyped ,that artifacts, found must be decrepit and in semi good condition due to the span of aged years. Not so as,all has been revealed over the decades, from collection's stemming from novices to the advanced. There have been some incredible minty finds protected by the right geographic conditions. Nothing is impossible !

Thankyou JR for posting this, piece of candy. These Suhl daggers are already a pleasurable sight to behold , but when one in this condition comes out of the woodwork cracks ...their craftsmanship is,even more magnified.
    Thanks,fir sharing

Always a bit of eye candy seeing a Suhl lowstep in wonderful condition.
This is a lovely example, although quite a few lowstep SA's were delivered with shoulders that came quite a bit above the guards.
I Always look for that 1 that has a perfect match, and although this is a sound example, the search for a perfect shoulder fit is still on.

    Thx for showing JR

Hard to upgrade this one! The coal black etch is superb looking on the mirror blade. A beautiful piece by any standards! Nice find!
