Two Authentic German daggers?

I am not sure are they both authentic WWI or WWII German daggers or not?

How much do they worth?

More close up photos needed of blades front and rear cross guards in fact photo any markings that you can see. One on top is SA mans dagger one below Army Heer officers dagger wire on handle missing and the knot by the crossguard should pushed all the way down to the large ornate bulb on the end, Need photos to class real or fake, I think the SA dagger should have a brown scabbard and not black.

Hi Guys, we have two totally original daggers here.

The first is, as Ian describes, an NSKK dagger.

The second is a Heer Officers dagger. (Dave: the grip on this is fine, they don't have wire on them

You are thinking of a Luftwaffe dagger which has a wire bound grip)

Values: around £400/£450 each would be a fair price.

Hi Kevin, I see the NSKK is devoid of a makers mark on the back of the blade. So the chances are this was once a Rohm dedication dagger and an SA. It would have have the inscription removed along with the makers mark in this case, then the owner had the scabbard painted black to comply with the new regulation of black for NSKK members. Just out of interest is there any Gruppe mark on the back of the lower crossguard? (A two letter code)

The Heer dagger just needs to knot retieing into the regulation fashion.

Hi,

Both looks fine to me. Is very interesting the NSKK's sccarbard scratches around the fitings. I think the Army blade is mounted inverted, Eickhorn logo is under the swaz.

I agree Ricardo, the blade on the Heer dagger needs putting back in the right way around.

Also re the paint loss around the scabbard fittings: if these were removed in order to repaint the scabbard, when they are refitted, as they are a good tight fit, what happens is it pushes the paint up (By this I mean it scratches it off like a plough) and this if now loose paint is wiped over will take even more paint off, leaving paint loss next to the fittings. How do I know this? Well I restored a dagger for a friend and this had happened.
