Hard to say. Home-made replaced grip made from cheap wood like pine? What's left of the rest of it is probably original, but in this condition, it is basically just a curio and not really worth anything at all to a collector.

What does the tag say? Is it a stock number or price tag?

Siegfried B; I am not aware of what the tag say. I would have to ask the seller.

Wagriff; I also assumed something wasn't right with the handle. My idea was just to buy a good original handle and change it on the dagger. Would it then still worthless to a collector?

Well, it would still be only a "parts dagger" with no sheath, and the blade has considerable condition issues, of course. But you should know, that these daggers and their grips were all pretty much hand-fitted together at the factory and even by replacing the grip, it would still be obvious. It would certainly improve it's appearance, though and so it might be of interest to a non-serious collector. But, naturally, it would never be a decent value item.

I would associate myself with Larry and William's comments.

That has seen a fair bit of use....

The rune button is way too high on that grip to be salvaged and the whole thing is trash. Maybe the crossguards could be salvaged but in my experience that's about it. A real junker and the grip eagle looks way better than the rest of that thing. Run Forest, run!

Not something I would place in my display case.
