Hand held detectors

Hi, anyone use a Garrett hand held detector for detecting where you can't get your coil detector? I've a minelab safari but am going somewhere where it can't go. Ill be looking for WW2 relics so thought a Garrett Super Scanner would at least help me scan down around 2 or 3 inches as my Pro-pointer doesnt scan deep enough. They seem to scan bigger items down to 3 to 6 inches.

Never used one billers so can't help I'm afraid. Can you not get a mini coil for your main detector ?

Steve, I was wanting something for when I can't take the detector but fancy a wander.nthe great thing about ww2 collecting is we like any metal so got me to thinking....portable, detects to a sensible depth and can then use the pro-pointer. They are also quite cheap. As yet no one seems to use them other than night club bouncers lol
