Looking for some help "Ruhr pocket"

Hi!
Going to Düsseldorf 6th oktober to search the battlefields around the Ruhr pocket.
Have read a few books about it and studying google earth for interesting places,cant really pinpoint any good places though.
Would be very happy if any of you guys here had some information regarding battles in the vicinity of the ruhr pocket.

Here is one place i think is interesting but not sure,it is the forrest north west of bottrop:
