sorry this is not a military cap and not pre 1918 either. The celluloid in the lining marks it out as post 1930's cap and the style, shape of the visor makes me think a much later cap for a veteran...

I'll be going along. Also have a table with Imperial German stuff for sale. Second Reich Militaria if anybody is passing by. cheers Tony
Hi,
firstly, pickelhaube looks good to me. Honest Prussian officers one.
secondly the box is for a cap not a helmet. They came in leather carry cases.
thirdly cover looks ok but further...
in a word...NO.
We have best advised you on this one, it's put together and as such is junk and value is parts only. Put some more money in you pocket and buy an all original for 600 euros.

Hi, here's an example of the Regiments from Hannover who took the field at Waterloo.

Save your money. This is put together badly with wrong parts and some of them are reproduction (chin strap). Not sure what price your being offered but buy a complete one if you can.
hope this...
Nice set, Bravo.
Brilliant items, really sorry can't comment on them as they are the first I ever seen !
cheers Tony
Hi they puchased a load of shells in 1916/17 and fitted them with their own liners. they painted them brown green and the UO markings are what remains of the acceptance stamps of the KuK.
any...
