Thanks Ralph. Just to add, on the JFS IAB's the minimal flat top (like mine) are considered original as well. Part of a horde find. Here is the thread on it.

I think this is generally true. But I do not think it is always true. I will have to defer to others for clarity on this.

Skora has only one variant for JFS. Would be good if we could see Norm's classification tables. They are more updated.

My other concern is the gold wash on the reverse. This is more of a question than concern however. It looks odd, but maybe this is typical for JFS awards....
Guys...I do have ONE other concern...the ball hinge. On Alex's (the OP) example it appears to be flat topped. On all the originals I have seen so far they are fully "domed".
