    Cap appears to be of WWII vintage, but wool quality is not what I would expect for an officer.
    Perhaps a postwar upgraded W/O or other ranks cap. Badge is also mounted low.

    I would think Embry ranks with Leonard Cheshire & Guy Gibson in importance and impact upon Bomber Command in WWII.
    His medals sold for 155,000 pounds by Spink in 2007.
