I can be more specific if you want but whatever, I see no point and probably won't bother commenting on helmets here any longer. I don't need the aggravation.

Paul- I am not your helmet crutch...
Like I said to you offline Paul I am sorry about your situation but it's unfair to blame me that the purchaser wasn't confident enough about the helmet to keep it.
I posted a camo once that...
Your welcome Michael. Don't know if paint bubbles helps or hurts, seems kind of strange though. Note the edge wear. A helmet gets worn on the edges from handling, your USB pics looks chipped. ...
Look at the similarities of the wear and much of it in appears tool marked. Small chips and scratches at similar lengths and styles, and similar small circular chips. Curved scratches, that is...
Hi Martin, yes I agree with the others, it is a toned Heer.
Looks fine!
The wear on the rivet in your latest pic above is most concerning. Again just my observations. Curved scratches for me are always a red flag, repetitive chipping as well. The USB pics for me...
Hi Michael, thanks for the additional pics. I remember seeing this one on Ken's site and it didn't hold much appeal to me then nor does it now I am afraid. Perhaps in hand it is better as it...
Chris posted closeups on GHW2.
With his new pics I do like these decals and it's nice to see something new and interesting! Application of these appears to be consistent on helmets like...
I've never seen or heard of the private made police decal before. Can you post the party decal closeup head on Chris? The party decal is also unusual. Jim do you have other pics of this police...
Can you post pictures of the exterior dome and closeups of the rivets and vents as well as any "curved" scratches? What is the provenance on this one Michael?
Hi Tommy, nice helmet!
It's a nonsensical argument started a couple of years ago by a few disruptive fringe collectors who created controversy where none exist and do not actually own many helmets themselves but always...
Its a nice no decal helmet and given it wont be worth a ton of money I would recommend you keep it with your fathers helmets. The 3 together make a powerful statement IMO.
It wound up in the right place I see!
Join German Helmet Walhalla, site has many databases you can access once you reach veteran status and has thousands of real examples of virtually all kinds of German helmets posted and all are good...
Can you post photos of the decal in natural light and in perfect focus? Also post maker and lot number, and closeups with no glare of the helmet paint as well.
This is a good KM. can we see the other profile. There should be a tricolor. Curious to see the other liner pins as well, close ups of them too.
Looks like the helmet was period painted a 1 color green which extends over the left side of the decal, and then perhaps a collector varnished it. The decal looks gold by print and not by varnish...
M35 is a KM, early liner pins were common to lose paint so it might not be anything to worry about, the M42 looks like a KM as well but better pics needed.
Fake camo, possibly fake leather.
Fake wire, fake SS decal, maybe a fake strap.
Suspicions confirmed.
Classic ND M42 congrats
Looks the part. You need more/better photos.
Sorry this is a known fake reverse Pocher rune and a fake party decal on an incorrectly painted helmet and wrong shell type. The real ones are a different shell, different color, different strap,...
