You have a postwar painted M40 with fake SS decals, and what looks to be some sort of postwar east-Europe liner? Might have been reissued to the fire department postwar.

Hmm, I'll see if I have time to make a thread on how to identify Norwegian helmets/liners etc this week, I'm not an expert or anything, but I know a bit about them.
There is another type, a Norwegian made liner, I'm not sure if I've seen these in Army/Airforce helmets before, but I've seen them a lot in Civil branch helmets. Underneath you can see one of them in...
I think it's a Norwegian postwar liner, need better pictures of the it to confirm, I'm pretty certain that underneath that black paint and SS decals is Norwegian postwar paint.
I don't have much knowledge on Luft decals, but there is something about this one... It looks like it has been very dirty and then cleaned up, for example been in a swamp and fished out or something....
I have to agree that I do not think this is a Norwegian reissue, the Norwegian reissue helmets had more of an olive color.
The liner looks to be the only thing that is real, the shell might be real, but overpainted, the chinstrap is fake and I do not believe I have seen those kind of markings before?
Very interesting, it was used post-war by the Norwegian army(The liner is dyed redish and look at the type of paint on the liner). It was then overpainted by some jerk and fake decals were put on. So...
I think they are good.
Nothing wrong with them.
You did a nice job at restoring it Morten. I saw it on samleforumet.
That liner represents a civilian ww2 helmet, and the decals are fake.
You are correct on number 1 and 4.
Here are a couple helmets you guys can practice on, which ones are fake and which ones are original?
PS: No experts allowed(That means you too Ade).
