Hi Guys - hope everyone is ok. I don't get on much these days, but love
to follow certain threads - especially this one - and probably posted
these pics before. I've noticed a big jump in prices...

A lot of insignia are sold through PX's and such, quality varies
considerably. In the 60's, the badges were made of an alloy,
usually bronze- 1/20 silver filled.........

Good eyes all. Indeed this is a post 1960 wing - Susco ( S-21 )
being the maker. The 'nail heads' on the clutch pins are an
indicator as well.........

Indeed - some really great stuff there. I like the Japanese items,
especially the 4th class 'Order Of The Sacred Treasure'.........

Looks like a belt buckle, but certainly not Third Reich.........

Nice looking medal - I have a loose one that
I paid $20 for a few years ago.

Also noticed Emedals has one in the
cardboard case for $125.........!?!

First time I've seen one in cardboard. Usually they're in
a plastic container of the same size......!

and desert tan patches as well........

construction is different from the above example, in that
the 'cut-edge' base material extends further out
from the black border. ...

Just picked this off Fleabay last week. Appears to be slightly older
than Saruman's example above.........

It's a feature on the reverse. Repros are too exacting
in this area, which is the tell.........

Appears to be a very nice original, but wait for other comments.

I've heard about a specific thing to look for, to tell if a
Schwerin badge is good, so I'd like to see other
comments to know...

I like it a lot - Great job ! The wear on the stowage bins,
as well as the toning and incidental scratches on the
tank itself are extremely well done.........

'F.L.H.' is on the lever, which is for 'F.L. Hudson & Co.
