    You mght be right ( but it looks like decal ). Then it seems that the only maker of those "italian style liner" was LMZ and was using 2 diffrent styles of ink stamp.

    Need Help! Pretty bad about the chinstrap damage but overall...

    Pretty bad about the chinstrap damage but overall nice M39 helmet with so called "italian style " liner and still preserved red star . IMO those are harder to find than those with M36 style liner....
