    A lot of BD issued in Italy was of the American-made type (Battle Dress, Olive Drab, War Aid), as indeed was some of the issue KD too. You might want to get hold of these too, if you are looking for...

    No problem. You can call the types of British BD whatever you want. The army called them all "Blouses, Battledress", anyway.

    Well I wasted half of my youth investigating this stuff, so I'll answer. Basically, yes, as far as I'm concerned, there are two types of wartime British Battledress, 1937 Pattern and 1940 Pattern....
