Hello this medal is original?
Hello
Not the best photos but looks original to me, the suspension ring is a replacement IMO.
Skál!
Sindri
is the ring not real?
excuse me for the bad English
the ring has numbers
Yes IMO it does not belong on the Medaille, regardless if it has numbers or not.
It could be from a KVK2, do you know the number it has ?
the seller said it was something like 0 ,5 6, 8
but I do not think there should be numbers
I see.
Well its hard to say.
But the material of the ring is not right for a Ostmedaille.
Like I said could be from a KVK2 or just a another replacement.
I personally would not pay more than 20 Euro for this one.
Good luck with this
Nothing wrong with your frozen meat medal. Ive a number of these in the collection with various quality of materials involved in making them. This and the KvK 2nd-are among my favorites to collect. Simple-yet to me-priceless works of art. Price is right too.
I do agree with the comment made by Sindri.
You might want to have a look at the work that Sindri has put into the research of this medal.

I will but it still here, does not point out what the OP originally asked and would be of help to people like him, if a person would be kind enough? to answer his question directly, instead of referring to a link. As these were made in the millions, some have rings with a brass look. I have about 20 or so of these and one or two have that look and are heavily worn and I do know for a fact, that they are real-as the ones I am talking about in particular-were given to me by 1) a Kriegsmarine vet-whom I also got a westwall medal from, and a man who served in Panzers.
