    Unhappy Help translating feldpost?

I recently got a few pieces of feldpost, although im finding it difficult to read any of the handwriting. Could anybody translate anything on the feldpost. Name? Rank? Division? Contents of the message? Anything that can be translated would be helpful. . Also, I noticed on the stamp it says "3. Batterie Flak???-Abt. 64 ???", what does this mean? Also what is the feldpost number, the only number I can make out there is a 3. What do the numbers on the back of the card mean? Any help in this matter is immensely appreciated.

    Hey Beast,

I read and write fluent German, but am having a hard time deciphering that penmanship. Granted the script of 1940's Germany was a bit different, but eventually I'll be able to read that fluently too. I just joined this forum and hope to be able to contribute with items like yours, just a bit more experience with the old script is necessary. Something printed is no problem, this a bit more problematic at this time.

    Goodmorning,
The letter is written in Sütterlin, as Eric said this was the type of handwriting used during that time. It is a challenge to read it, also because of the handwriting of the person who wrote the letter.

The stamp reads 3. Batterie Flak-Ersatz-Abteilung 64, or 3rd Battery Flak Replacement Detachment 64.

The numbers on the back could mean anything and could even be done post-war. Who knows.

There are German forum members who might be of more help.

    Regards, Rik

    It's just math, probably money-related: 432,-- + 32,40 = 464,40.
