As Terry said, they made liner band until 43 so if it is a WZ, then it should be ok.
If the guy can see the liner date he could probably also see the maker.

A nice well used M42 - just the way I like them.
The decal with it's crooked top edge is interesting. It appears that the crooked line at the top may be the result of the decal edge folding over on itself during application.

Looks a good Helmet Giants ....Shame the liner is in a bit of a mess.

I like this helmet - if he confirms that it is a WZ liner I think you should go for it.

Price on this one is a mite high for condition of the liner, but that dealer in general is expensive on his helmets. (Fantastic dealer otherwise). I like the helmet, but would not pay near that asking price.
