    Hi all

British steel helmets are NOT an area I am at all familiar with so, when my brother mentioned he had been given two, I thought I would ask the experts!

This is really just a question about Type/Mark - value is not an issue since, when I say "given" I do mean "free" & the Union Flag paint was not passed off as a rare scheme

I will (hopefully) add an 'interior' shot here once my brother can get me a higher resolution version

At first glance both appear to be wwii mkii helmets, more pics are needed to say more.

The union jack paint appears to have stacking marks on it from long term storage

    Whatever its just an opinion.

The Union Jack one has 4 holes which indicate Soft and used for Home Guard/civilian use.

Will do ASAP - pic he sent of liners etc is too low quality so I'll ask 'mon frère' to go back up to his loft tomorrow or Wed & take more/better ones...

Many thanks for answers so far!
