    Default 2 Gordons SD Jacket

    Evening Chaps,

Having examined this jacket (as you'll see below) there are aspects to it that have been removed and added. The jacket is stamped with 2 GOR, letter date W, and a service number. It has an infantry badge along with sergeant chevrons. The buttons seem to have been removed at some point, along with the original collar tags and the shoulder titles. It also displays three medal ribbons (France-Germany, Africa Star w/ 1st Army mark, and the Italy Star.

The shoulder titles have subtle differences in wear and mold. The collar tags are of the postwar stay-bright variation having a single lug.

I'm currently trying to establish what the W dating stamp on the lining stands for, as well as correlate a general opinion of the tunic and accouterments.

    Yours,

    Josh

W might be for 1933. Can you show all of the interior lining please?
    Regards,

    Jerry

Lining looks post 1922 fabric, 1933 date would fit.
