M42 double decal ordnungpolizei

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to share my latest catch. A nice M42 double decal ordnungpolizei helmet. Leather is all there but not all of it is attached to the ring anymore. Some is hanging of the drawstring. On the leather it says "PA"

An interesting relic. The leather and tie string are in amazing condition.

Hi Andy,

Sadly not. The liner looks to be partially burned away. The drawstring looks melted and the liner itself shows signs of melting. Sadly no cleu where it was found.

I have heard that the americans burned captured equipment before burringing it, so that could be the reason of its condition.

Yeah I have heared this too and have seen item dumps with burned stuff. It would not surprise me if the guy wearing it has done itself since the Ordnungpolizei was part of the SS.
