Question US WW2 J.R. Gaunt made U.S. Army officers cap badge for review

    Hello all,

I’m asking for your help in looking at this WW2 English made US army officers cap badge. I’m interested in purchasing this example. I don’t have any US army insignia in my collection and would like to add an example like this.

The seller states it is a genuine WW2 example, English made by J.R. Gaunt London and is also trade mark stamped.

I would just like to get the forums opinions before purchasing the item, to make sure it’s genuine WW2 period?

    Thanks in advance!

100% percent legit, exactly how you want to see them. This is an early war example, honestly I've never seen a fake Gaunt hat badge but it never hurts to check.

Thanks for taking a look and letting me know. Yeah I always like to check before buying.

The seller also has this WW1 US badge listed as an officers badge, could you take a look at this one also? It’s a low price which is making me wonder if it’s a replica. The pictures not great, it comes with the other items but I was wondering about the screw back if it’s correct?

Looks fine to me as well, I've seen different style screwback fasteners used.
