M40 LW feld division authentic?

Hi everyone,

Got this M40 LW one offer by a dealer. It's a Q64, with lotnumber DN529 What do you think. According to his story the helmet was used by the LW Felddivision. I have some doubts about the decal. I don't have the expertise of judging this one. Maybe someone can take a look.

If real this guys is asking 600,- euro. Is that a fair price?

I'm not sure about the decal either, also it appears to have been cleaned down to bare metal and repainted at some time. Id it was worn heavily the liner shows little sign of it.

Decal is a known fake. The shell is fine, I think the paint is fine. Neck stamped Q's shouldn't have decals, at least I haven't seen any.

Late war ND Quist M40 that had a fake decal slapped on.
Bit pricey for that, if you can get the price down and get rid of the decal it would be a decent M40 but if you want a SD LW this is not the one to get.
Also Felddivision helmets as far as I know had a brush painted green wood chip camo applied like this M35 I have.
