He certainly did. They only clue is the name on one of the pieces of paper - Dr Med Hans Grahn. I have searched the Volksbund and none of the entries seem to match with age, rank etc, so I would say that he survived the war.

I am glad you enjoyed seeing this mans journey. I often wonder if the people he met in the photographs would have been as friendly when he returned during the war.
