I wondered if anyone knew the origin of this water bottle that I found at my late mother's house? I just noticed on the hinge it has the makers: T Russell, Brighton and appears to be marked as solid silver not plate as far as I can see...
    Many thanks in advance...

A very nice looking and interesting bottle / flask. It's well hallmarked so I'm sure someone will recognize the markings. My guess would be civilian not military related, perhaps British. Good luck

    Hello Danse.

It looks like it was made for the civilian market, maybe used while hunting and would probably have been used to drink alcohol from.
