KS98 Bayonet Totenkopf marked

Hello,

My father bought this KS98 bayonet a few years ago and he was wondering if it is original.

I compared it to mine which is also marked "solingen". The Bayonet itself looks original to me, but I am not sure about the Toptenkopf stamp. I cannot find another one with the same stamp., so I am asking for help.


My question:

Is the Toptenkopf mark post war or TR period? If so, does this mean that it was given out to the SS?

I have not seen one with a Toptenkopf on it. I would not want it in my collection.

Although cool, I would say post war skull added to increase value of the bayonet.

IMO a post war stamp.

Yes similar Deadheads were already observed, someone use a stamp die. Personally dont believe they are period.
