Default 2nd Award 28/05/1942?? Fritz Reinecke

Hi Chaps, I've just picked up this Wehrpass to Obergefreiten Fritz Reinecke. He was a veteran of the 1st World War, where he fought between 1916/18 in Pionier Bataillon 28, assigned to the 28. (Badische) Reserve-Division. He joined the Wehrmacht in 1943, serving in several territorial defence units: Landesschüztzen Bataillone and Marschbataillone. Finally, from October 1944, he was assigned to the Festungs-Pionierstab 20, (unit of engineers) in Norway, where he served until the end of the war & was taken POW (C/W 5 POW documents).

My question is what is his 2nd award on page 23 given on 28/05/1942? It's Silver something??

    Thanks in advance,

    Richard.

I think I've answered my own question. Is it a Silver 4 Years Long Service Award?

Looks like 'Silbernes Treudienst Ehrenzeichen', which would be one of these (the one on the right):

I'm getting better at reading Sütterlin now, but it's still very difficult for me. If anyone knows better than I, please correct me.

Thanks; but those are civil service awards. It's more likely to be the Army award like this -

I was just thinking that after making my last post. Seemed a little odd to me that a member of the Wehrmacht would receive a civil service award!

You might be right Just checked his job & he was a justizangestellter = court clerk. So at the age of 44 he could have done 25 yrs in the courts.
