Guys,

Busy sorting the hobby room and have rediscovered these.

The first has been re-nazified (by removing whatever covered the front). It is to a medic but I have never seen the Div Abz authority to wear pasted inside the back cover, has anyone else?

The second is a bit more sobering, it appears to have been returned to the family with the contents all of which has a gunshot hole in. I doubt this has been added later as the contents of his pocket seem to be in order and belong to him. He was also a medic and his Geneva convention ID is within.

The third is to a Luftwaffe Prufmeister (flyer) Reserve?
It has a low stammroll number perhaps indicating a small unit. It has his NSFK membership book, an interesting Heinkel werk ID, DLV membership card to nearby in Celle. Also what I believe is a temporary ID doc.

I will have to post in two parts.

Hi Jock, these are excellent items. I do recall seeing a pasted in authorisation for a div badge before but these are not at all common. I think this is really nice.

I have had a look through most all of my reference but it is probably all dated now. Can recommend any reading that might show this Div badge. I'm guessing but is that a representation of it top left?

Hi Jock, I am certain that is the actual badge represented. A lot of these semi - official cap badges are not covered in books.

Thanks, if that is the case I am unlikely to see an original badge then. This will leave me wondering what it was made of etc..
