Section II shows his military service, last rank of Stabsfeldwebel and that he was a "Frontkämpfer".
Section III shows he joined the Police in January 1925 as an Unterwachtmeister, and that by November 1942, he was Meister der Gendarmerie.
His assignments show that although the Wehrpass shows him as assigned to Schutzpolizei Bremen, the posts immediately before and after his military service were "Gendarmerie Posten Harpstedt", so he was indeed Gendarmerie rather than Schupo.
And the interesting part. Page 15 shows his service with the Feldgendarmerie from 1939 to 1942, but the entry above shows his service as a Feldgendarm during the occupation of the Sudetenland in 1938, before the army had its own military police, so he was definitely one of these very first MPs who were seconded from the Polizei to the army before the "real" Feldgendarmerie was formed.
Also with the set, the log book for his early "DRA" Sports Badge

And a couple of shots from his time at the front, though you'd hardly know it was him in the winter shot. He is the one on the left on horseback.
