Here's a Soldbuch to a unit not so easy to find, the Feldjäger.

Feldjäger (and Feldgendarmerie) were retained in use by the allies for the immediate post-war period to control the huge number of surrendering German troops. This guys discharge was processed in June 1945.

Very interesting and unusual unit , his Feldjäger Regt was attached directly to OKW !!

Hi Paul,

Yes thats right. In fact ALL units of the Feldjägerkorps were directly answerable only to the OKW.
Even the armband they wore stated "Oberkommando der Wehrmacht / Feldjäger"
