    Not really sure what you want to know. At the start of the war he served in Infanterie-Regiment 80 of 34 Infanterie-Division. He didn't take part in the fighting in Poland as 34 ID were located on the western borders of Germany, facing the French.
    In October 1939 he was assigned to the 7 Kompanie of Grenz-Infanterie-Regiment 125 with which he served for around 15 months. As can be seen here...
    Infanterieregiment 125 - Lexikon der Wehrmacht
    ...the II Btl was used to form Infanterie-Regiment 117 and as seen in the WP he was one of those assigned over as his Kriegsstammrollen number of 186 has remained the same. He remained with the 7 Kompanie. This regiment belonged to 111 Infanterie-Division and during the Russian campaign it was assigned to Army Group South as part of 6 Armee and then 17 Armee. At the time of his death his regiment was fighting in the Donez region.

    Page 20 shows the weapons he was trained in and page 32 shows the campaigns that he was involved in although that shown for the Russian Front is very basic and I wouldn't be surprised if that was entered after he died by an administration clerk to update the WP before it was closed out. During the French 1940 campaign his unit was situated opposite the Maginot Line and took part in Fall Rot, the second phase of the French invasion when the Germans invaded and occupied the rest of France on 5th June.

    Here is his entry in the Volksbund Database. His body has never been recovered.

    The top one is Gewehr and the other one looks like some kind of grenade.

    The weapons are:

    Gewehr = rifle
    lMG* 34 = M 34 light machine gun
    Handgranate = hand grenade
    Handgranate = hand grenade (repated for some reason)
    Pistole 08 = M 08 pistol

    [* lmG = leichtes Maschinengewehr]
