    Just picked up this Luftschutz Dienstbuch, its filled out nicely and looks good with my other LS items, just thought I would share, dont see many of these posted.
    I cant make out the first name....do you think its Ernst?

    Nice item! Does it end in 1944? Did Ernst survive the bombings and the occupation, I wonder?

    Thanks for the comments, I wonder also about what happenend to ol' ernst, usually if they survived something like this would have been denazified, the last entry is 5-19-44 he was 57 years old then, maybe he went into the volkssturm or died in a bombing raid. either way I shall keep his memory preserved, all my items I treat with great respect no matter what country or person it belonged too.
