Pz. Jag Abt 543 (sfl) Soldbuch

Hi people, picked this up recently. He was a butcher in "civvy street". Which could explain his unit in the latter years of the war. He served with Pz. Jag Abt 543 (sfl), he ended the war with Schlachterei Komp 83 (mot). A mobile butchery, part of 3. Panzer Div (thanks hucks216). He was awarded the BWB, KVK2 w/s, KBA in bronze & EK2. EK2 was awarded in early '45 whilst with Schlach. Komp 83. Hucks216 provided me with the info that they were involved in the siege of Budapest & that most likely he was used as a combat soldier due to dwindling numbers. Stewy

Thanks Glenn, it's a shame he wasn't a Pz Jager for the entire war, I bet he was pleased he wasn't though. It was nice to find a driver related ID to one of these not often seen units. Stewy
