Would it be possible to turn it right side up? My fusion in my neck would much appreciate it!

"Much that once was, is lost. For none now live who remember it."
He was killed on that last entry on June 22 1943
it reads basically like this:
1939: Baukorps (Construction Corps)
1940: Nachrichtenregiment ( News & Message trasmission- regiment)
1942: Bordschützenanwärter ( Application for being a gunner on an airplane)
42/43: Bord. Sch. Schule (Aircraftgunner- school)
1943: Fernaufklärer Schule ( Long Range- recognition- school)
1943: II/ Fernaufklärungsgeschwader ( Second long Distance Recognition-unit)
So he started in Construction ( maybe Airfields or so...) , after that he worked as a Trasmission- soldier for a short time. After that he wanted to see more action, and applied to be a gunner on a airplane, maybe a Heinkel 111 or Ju- 88? At some later point, he passed thru a Long- distance reconognaince - school (or however it is written). He passed, and started to do long distance recognition work in 1943.. That is where it ends.. The last entries i cannot read. The Stamp reads " Aufklärungstruppe II / 2 Staffel", That is " Recognitiongroup 2 / Second Unit".. and i believe that i see the words " Haupt..... u. Staffelkapitän", which might indicate that he was an officer by then, and a Captain in that " Second Unit"..
The reading is incomplete, but i hope that i was still somewhat helpful..
1939: 3. Baukorps 244
1940: 20. Luftgau-Nachrichten-Regiment (motorisiert), Hannover Bemerode
1940: Luftgau-Nachrichten-Regiment 11
1940: 20. Luftgau-Nachrichten-Regiment (motorisiert) 11
1940/41: 2. Telefon Bau / Luftverteidigungs-Nachrichten-Abteilung 1
1941/42: (Fernsprecher Bau) Kompanie (Feldfernkabel Luftnachrichten-Abteilung) (motorisiert) 39
1942: 3. Bordschützen-Anwärter-Bataillon
1942/43: Bord-Schützen-Schule, 7. Schützenkompanie Graudenz
1943: 4. Fernaufklärer-Flieger-Schule 3, 2. Schüler-Kompanie
1943: II. Fernaufklärer-Geschwader 101, 8. Staffel
1943: 1. Ergänzungs-Fernaufklärungsgruppe
1943: 2. Fernaufklärungsgruppe 11
Note following:
1939: Baukorps (Construction Corps)
1940: Nachrichtenregiment ( News & Message trasmission- regiment) signals regiment, not news and message transmission,
1942: Bordschützenanwärter ( Application for being a gunner on an airplane)
42/43: Bord. Sch. Schule (Aircraftgunner- school)
1943: Fernaufklärer Schule ( Long Range- recognition- school) long range reconnaissance training
1943: II/ Fernaufklärungsgeschwader ( Second long Distance Recognition-unit) ditto squardron
Signals was part of command and control via the technical means of the day and was its own branch, with the well known brown piping.
the man made the transition to actual flying via being a trained gunner and served with long range recce planes, whereas as recognition in war in the air
is a different discipline. Reconnaissance is plainly the aircraft secures images in enemy territory directed towards the tactical situation of order of battle or strike damage
etc or of the target and so forth.
Recognition is the pilot of a plane, or the observer in the air or on the ground who recognizes friend or foe.

Thread moved to the right forum
Thanks
The sacrifice of life is a huge sacrifice, there is only one that is more terrible, the sacrifice of honor
