    was it usual to re-write the year date? i believe this was issued in the 1920`s and then the year 1930 was later tagged on or this was an leftover from the 1920`s re-issued. was this an organisation for the ww1 wounded and to the widows of the killed soldiers?

    This was issued to a female chairperson (Vorsitzende) serving in the organization...the date shown at the bottom is the expiration/renewal date...The Reichsbund helped war invalids, war participants and their Widows/Children...

    Probably not re-issued; just a crudely corrected error. I think the person who filled out that card on 10 January 1930 had the same problem I have annually during the first two weeks or so of January: Forgetting it's a new year and using the old one when writing a date.
