Soldbuch help.

My friend said something to me about the Waffen SS using WH soldbuch's instead of SS soldbuch's sometime during WW2. I do 12th SS Hitlerjugend. And was wondering if this was true or not and if it was true. Do explain on who and how they were used.

Simply down to wartime shortages.

Yep, as Ade has said this did happen. I have a soldbuch to a Knights Cross winning SS-Obersturmbannführer and it is a Zweitschrift issue from 1942 and as you can see it is a Heer type.
