Glad as always to oblige my friends and neighbors. (Dave had already contacted me by PM prior to posting.) Right, here we go:

    "Most esteemed and dear Professor!

Enclosed, a little memory to your visit to Berlin; a certain similiarity with Franz Schubert is apparent.

Many regards to your esteemed wife and to yourself, cordial greetings to my little friends.*

    Your ever-loyal

    [signed: P. Rosbaud]"

*) The German word for "friends" is in the female form [Freundinnen], perhaps it refers to the recipient's daughters.
