Standard issue Wehrpass for someone who was called up and registered for military service in 1943 at the age of 51 - which tells you a great deal of how desperate Germany was for manpower. However upon registering he was deemed fit for work duty only (arbeitsverwendungsfähig - or usually abbreviated to a.v. or a.v.w.) and listed as Landsturm II which meant 'Untrained territorial replacement reserves, age over 45'.
