Wehrpass sleeves - issue or private purchase?

I have a couple of these Wehrpass wallets / sleeves and was wondering were these official issue, private purchase or what?

Anyone have any ideas? ..... they are a neat thing that is not often seen ( at least from my POV )

The sleeves were private purchased items as Ade mentions but the one on the right (the greenish coloured one) could be an official issue, not for the soldier as such but for the unit when they filed away all the WP's in the admin office/tent.
