THE WEHRPASS AND SOLDBUCH OF THE WEHRMACHT by Antonio Scapini, Alberto Gorzanelli
Hi,
I have searched the internet looking for reviews on the above book but there appears to be precious few, so I was wondering if any forum members could offer any advice on the purchase of the book for a new collector of Soldbucher/Wehrpass? The book is 1) very difficult to find and 2) very expensive so I would like to be sure if it is worth the expense.
Are there any equally useful books on the topic?
Many thanks in advance,
Russ

This one is a bit older, and is not cheap either, but I have heard that it is quite good.

Hello, I have also this book.

There are a few books on the Wehrpass & Soldbuch although most of them are by Emilie Caldwell Stewart and while they were published some time ago they are still useful. Sometimes they pop up for around 60 Euros. However, if you are going to buy just one book on the subject then the book by Scapini is the one to go for. You are correct in that it is expensive, in my view far too expensive for a book that size and even 2nd hand copies are listed for original prices, but it can easily be found on the publishers website:

But the cheapest copies I can find are on Amazon US which are around $60-70 cheaper.

Thanks hucks216, that's exactly the advice I was after!
