Default Bunkerlamp from artillery shell casing

I finally took the time to make some pics from my bunkerlamp, made from a 45mm 1944 dated shell casing. These were commonly used in bunkers, dugouts and trenches and easy to make from spend shell casings. According to memoirs though they left quite a bit of soot behind. Good light but lots of soot. In one of my memoirs these were named Katyusha, like the rocketlaunchers with the same name.

Very nice lamp. Most commonly these appeared under the name of „koptilka” which means smokehouse.
