Default Colonel of Naval Land Forces - Parade Dress

After a long interval of no postings, I've finally had some time to try out my new camera and Dim's RealOptimizer program.

First test will be this Captain of Naval Infantry; circa early-mid 1950s, no earlier than 1954 due to the pattern of stars on the shoulder boards. At least this is what I have understood through research.

The mundir is a mid 1940s example with embroidered collar and cuff insignia. The visor cap is a mid 1950s example.

As everybody's computer monitor displays things differently, I would appreciate any comments and suggestions concerning the quality of the images. All the high-resolution and photo-imaging stuff is new to my, and quite confusing to state the least...

Hi Richie, the pics are great. They look fine.

Very nice display. Is there any name to the tunic or cap?

    Cheers, Ade.

That is good news Ade... Thanks.

They look good on my desktop monitor, but look a tad dark on my laptop.

During the course of the next few hours I plan on posting a few NKVD ensembles. I'll keep the settings on the camera where they are - for now.

Unfortunately, there are no markings of any kind on both the tunic and the cap.

While we are the subject of markings, I find it odd that there are no maker's marks or tags inside the cap. Usually, something like that would be embossed into the sweat diamond.

Dim is prett up-&-up on Naval stuff, so perhaps he may know...

It has only taken me 5 years to master our camera!

Naval stuff I know nothing about.

    Cheers, Ade.
