    I assumed German based on color and the anchor on the brass button, was guessing. I thought visor caps were a German thing...with no markings what makes this look more Russian then German?

    The general name for visor caps is furazhka

    Senior commanding structure, Soviet fleet - circa 1960s. Missing it's chinstrap and cockarde.
