    Default Naval Pilotki ?

    Dear Colleagues,

I have seen some images of submarine officers wearing the pilotka (in black, trimmed white). I assume that such was allowed per NKO-VMF No. 124 of March 1941 year.

Does anyone have images showing use of the pilotka (in any color) by naval officers (other than submariners) in the era of the war against fascism?

Thank you very much, in advance, for any assistance.

Perhaps two sailors (not submariners) with black or dark pilotki? Sensible choice, if one will be putting on a helmet while manning a gun.

The ship Т-408 «Якорь» ("Yakor"/"Anchor"), was a Project 58 minesweeper of the Black Sea Fleet.

The image is very grainy, but I think the sailor in the foreground is just wearing a regular Beskozirka. It could also be one of those berets which were used from the 30s until early on.

As far as pilotka, I do not see any reasons why other fleet commanders and NCOs were not authorized to adorn them. I have not searched for images, but I could...

Also, I HAVE seen sailors in army type gymnasterka (with naval telnyashka) and pilotka in combat images and artwork in Sevastopol.

Indeed, the photo is far from sure - hence the "?" mark.
While I hope you would not trouble yourself to search, if you happened upon an example of a non-submarine "dark" "naval" pilotka (not "khaki" "army" type issued for fighting on land), I would be quite thankful to see the image.
    With thanks,

    Thanks for the photo

    Yes it looks like.

I saw in an other thread that Naval cap (Beskozirka ) got a White piping in October 39.

My question would then to know if this Pilotka could be pre October 39 or if it is something totaly different

    In advance thank you

Pilotka side hat has been worn by the submarines crew officially. But rarely used by other branches too. The berets is most probably is a early restyled beskozeerka to wear as a soft headgear
