    - 1970's vintage perhaps
    - I thought there should be a mark (with some kind of registration class or fee label) cast in at the base of the blade, on the side that appears blank in your photos : but perhaps I am wrong or it just polished away
    - maybe the owner added a few extra rivets to the sheath
