    Sadly, covered in stay-brite buttons. Any idea of the date? Buttons aren't "V" shaped, so my guess is that it's somewhat old. The stamp inside is extremely weathered, no possible way to read it. The wool is coarse, not fluffy like the normal surplus you see. The buttons were rearranged to stretch the coat, which has resulted in some stretching on some buttonholes. I resewed the buttons to undo that. I plan on finding earlier buttons in the future.

    Mine is like that of nuimber "2". Mine is rough wool, not soft.
    And does not have a post-war style stamp. That same cotton is also lining the sleeves.
